Hey Hey Heroes, Travelers and Wandering NPCs, it’s that special time of the week again! Friday!! TGIF! And with the end of the the work week comes yet another super special awesome Fangirl Moment post, the series where I feature interesting media I’ve come across during the week (or whenever). I’ve covered a wide range of topics in theses posts, from books to film to anime and manga to webcomics, the sky’s the limit for my rampant fangirling!
Last week was my boy, Kuroo Tetsurou’s birthday, so I did a list of the Top 5 Reasons Kuroo is the Captain of My Heart, if you missed it, definitely check it out! But, if that’s not your style, be sure to check out one of my other Fangirl Moment posts, by either clicking the weekly series tab from the menu or by clicking… HERE!
This week, I’ll be covering an original web comic series Her Impact, an upcoming sports comic that features a woman of color as the protagonist. Y’all know how I feel about POCs in my media, so when the writer, Mikel Miles brought this amazing concept to my attention, I was all over it. Plus, I’m a huge fan of fighter anime and manga, Ashita no Joe (Tomorrow’s Joe)! I will forever recommend that series, it’s like perfection!! *ahem* Got a little off track there, but, Her Impact is set to be released in 2018, but Mikel was kind enough to send me a copy of Issue #0. It’s a short demo chapter, but more than enough to give me a feel of the story, and I must say I am curious to see how everything pans out in the end.
TGIF Heroes and Travelers, it’s Friday and that means it’s time for another Fangirl Moment, the series of posts where I spotlight media I think you guys should check out! This week I’m covering a Korean webcomic I discovered a little while ago, Roommates (aka Can’t Confess) by Seok Young, translated by Han. This is a fun comic about two friends that secretly harbor feelings for one another, things only get a bit more complicated when they suddenly become roommates… It’s just as awkward and hilarious as you’d imagine!
The series was originally published digitally by Mr. Blue back in 2015, but was eventually picked up by Spottoon.com for an English language release. This is a paid release, but you can read the first five chapters for free and by creating an account with the site you can also earn keys that will unlock additional episodes for free. Spottoon also has weekly/monthly free episode rotations, so if you plan accordingly, you can read the whole thing for free.
If you aren’t in the mood for BL, I highly recommend checking out one of my other Fangirl Moment posts (there are a ton to choose from) by clicking right, HERE, I cover a range of topics so I’m sure you’ll find something worthwhile over there!! For everyone else, let’s get this show on the road shall we?

TGIF! Here we are again with another Fangirl Friday! This week I’m covering another webcomic! Rejoice! I have been following this comic for awhile now and it has only gotten better over time!! The comic I’m covering this week is Hazy London (formerly Technicolor London), a BL slice-of-life, drama, comedy webcomic series by Scotty.
“Toby Landon’s love life is a bloody mess. His on and off girlfriend has once again tossed him aside. His mate Mark gives him some advice: Try something different. With a kiss, the lives of these two friends go from being black and white to being full of vivid color. But, all colors can get a little hazy…”
Hello Heroes and Travelers, here we are at the end of another week here on Nice Job Breaking It, Hero! Okay guys I have some big news… Remember the summer job I mentioned back in June? Well, my paperwork was finally finished and I finally have a start date: My official start date is August 1st! Woohoo!!! So what kind of job is it? I will be doing what I love to do, research! My alma mater received a grant from the Department of Health to take part in a public health research project and I was brought on to work on the data analysis portion of the project! I’ll also be administering some of the surveys for the project too!! But, what’s really exciting about this project is that it is completely run and operated by women of color!! So I am doubly exciting to be working with such a dynamic team of women, doing something that I love!!
So what is going to top that? Not much, the rest of my week seems pretty mundane in comparison, but I’m gonna share it anyway!! I saw the new Ghostbusters movie, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it! The film was much better than I anticipated… Hmm, let’s see, I went to Six Flags with some friends which was fun until I realized I’d gotten sun burn on my face… Reason #1 why I limit my outdoor activity time during the Summer…

TGIF! Here we are again with another Fangirl Friday! Last week I covered a webcomic I had just recently discovered, this week I’ll be covering one that I’ve been following for over a year! The comic I’m covering this week is Orange Junk, a slice-of-life, romance, comedy webcomic series by Heldrad.
When Louise’s wealthy family loses everything, she has to pull herself up by her bootstraps and start over in a new high school – where the smartest boy is the meanest, and the hottest boy is the weirdest. But Louise needs tutoring, so the three become a team… It’s a riches to rags school story with a whole lot of screaming.
TGIF! Here we are again with another Fangirl Friday! This week I am covering another webcomic that I stumbled upon during my recent internet travels called Satan and Me. So first, before you guys go running for the hills just from the title…. hear me out okay! So I was browsing a friend’s Tumblr page when I came across this post:
Yeah, soak that in for a bit… hilarious right, ladys, we’ve all wondered about those stupid designs manufacturers put on sanitary napkins. I mean come on they are essentially useless, so why bother even putting them on there in the first place? Beats me…well after laughing at the original post I scrolled down to read the reblog comments, and I’m glad I did because this thing just got 10x better. Upon closer inspection I saw that another Tumblr user, Orange Plum, took the idea and ran with it… the result, a hilariously addictive webcomic!
**I don’t own the images, they are the work of Orangeplum, the comic can be found on Tumblr and on Tapastic.**

TGIF! Here we are again with another Fangirl Friday! This week I’m shifting gears a little, instead of another anime or manga post, we’re going to cover another webcomic! The comic I’m covering this week is Stereophonic, a period piece, slice-of-life BL webcomic by C.J.P.
Stereophonic is a queer slice-of-life comic that follows the lives of two young men living in 1960s London. Elliot is a shy, struggling artist adjusting to life alone in the big city. Alex is a charming, modish singer in search of a fresh start. Drawn together by a mutual need for housing, the two become unlikely cohabitants and must learn to navigate the trials of life, love, and self-expression amidst an era of tumultuous social change.
When I originally stumbled upon this title I was suffering from a mean bout of withdrawal from another BL series that I was reading…So I did a quick search of “BL webcomics” on google, just so I could find something new to fill the void. I found a website that had compiled a list of the Best 2015 BL Webcomics, after browsing some of the titles I was definitely finding some good back up titles, but nothing really jumped out at me. That is until I reached the second entry of the “S” titles, the image depicted two blushing men on the cusp of a big damn kiss…I had to know what was going on, so I clicked the link to the webcomic’s website…and the rest was history.
*Disclaimer: Art and comic belong to Angelperez aka AngelYeah*
Status: Complete (KxS); Ongoing (SD)
Genre: Boys Love (BxB), Romance, Comedy, Drama, Angst
I will admit that Boys Love webcomics have become a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. I like to think of myself as a connoisseur of sorts when it comes to BL content, a collector, at least you’d think so from the state of my backlog. Now I won’t say that I always read for the plot, because that would be lying, but a really good BL comic has to have a decent plot to keep me coming back for more. The smut and art get me in the door, but it’s the plot that keeps me clicking. AngelYeah‘s KaitoShuno was just that comic!
