This week’s post will include links to the games and a brief synopsis, but let me stress that these are not reviews, but recommendations… so your mileage may vary! Now that that’s out of the way lets get on to this week’s list!!

Chess of Blades is an upcoming commercial Boys Love (BL) mystery romance visual novel from indie English game developers Argent Games. When Rivian Varrison, the disillusioned son of a famous nobleman, is forced to attend a five day celebration for the King, he finds himself in danger when a crime is committed. With enemies around every corner, Rivian must tread carefully if he wants to make it home alive. Navigate the gilded world of the aristocracy and socialize with other party-goers in order to uncover their secrets and get to the bottom of the strange goings on in this imaginative period drama. Upon its release the game will be available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, but the the game was recently greenlit for steam. The demo covers roughly an 30 mins to an hour of gameplay (it really depends on how fast you read).
I never get tired of saying this, but it does my heart good to see another BL game in development, since the genre is still pretty niche despite how large the fandom is… hopefully more developers will start producing even more BL titles in the future! *nudge nudge wink wink* Argent Games has been on a roll, it’s been a year, but Chess of Blades is their second title and it promises to be a thrilling addition to their lineup!

Hey hey guys I’m back with yet another Kickstarter campaign! This time around, I’m spotlighting Steamberry Studio’s debut supernatural romance visual novel, Changeling. Ya’ll should remember this game from the demo review I did back in February…
I am in love with this game and I want the KS campaign to succeed, so expect me to boost the heck out of it on Twitter! But, that aside, I was impressed with the quality of the demo and I ‘d love to see this game become a reality!

Alright, so this is another game that has been sitting in my backlog for way too long. But, since my office was closed for Spring Break I figured now was a good time as ever to pull this game out of the abyss and give it a play… I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with stats raiser games, on one hand… nah, I’m not even going to try and sugar coat it! Stats raiser games can be a pain in the ass, plain and simple, and I have heard some wonderful stories about the stats raising in SakeVisual’s Backstage Pass, that made me very reluctant to start it…
Backstage Pass was released twice, the first being the early access beta (2014), which is what I originally bought and never played, and the second being the final completed version of the game which was released August 2016 for PC (Windows, Linux, Mac) and Steam. The game features full English voice acting and at a cool $29.99, I’d say that’s a fair price to pay for the amount of content the game offers.
**Disclaimer: I DO NOT own any of the images used in this review, ALL images, screenshots, and characters belong to SakeVisual. Please if you are interested in the game, purchase the game either through the official site or through Steam!!

Changeling is an upcoming commercial GxB supernatural romance visual novel and the debut title of indie English game developers Steamberry Studios. The game follows a high school girl, whose normal life is turned upside down when she finds out that she isn’t exactly human. Meet other supernaturals, learn their secrets, and unravel the mystery surrounding Nora and an incident from her past in this intriguing upcoming VN! Upon its release the game will be available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The demo covers three chapters of the common route, which is roughly an hour of gameplay.
I can’t believe it took me so long to write this review, but I’ve been swamped with various projects and then I went to Katsucon and that threw a wrench in all of my plans! Things are still kind of hectic right now, but I was so impressed with this demo that I just had to make sure I got it out to you guys!

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY… or Singles Awareness Day all you wonderful Heroes and Travelers, today we have a special guest post from my BF… Yeah, ya’ll read that right, I convinced my boyfriend to play an otome game for a very special Valentines Day Game Review!! WOOT! Since, he puts up with my constant fangirling on a regular basis, I figured why not let him experience the wonders of otome games… So, I picked a few games for him to try out and he fell asleep on all of them, except Winter Wolves’s slice of life romance visual novel, Roommate! Since he doesn’t really play otome games, I didn’t make him play through the whole game, that would have been cruel and unusual punishment on my part… Anyway, I’ve done enough talking, so, I’m gonna turn things over to my BF, Myles!
Greetings to all you awesome people out there. I don’t normally blog or write about things like dating sims games including stat raising of all things, but its Valentine’s Day and my girlfriend, Pokeninja90, insisted (coerced) me to play one. I have played a few games like this before, but more for the nude pics I could get not for the fun of the story (hentai sims). I’d like to say that despite not seeing any hot pixel skin, the story was on point. I’m kinda happy she forced “asked me to play a route”. Besides with all of the stat raising I did, maybe I can earn a few points myself.
Roommates follows the new college student Max as he begins a new chapter in life you all know as college. Like any new college student he has money issues so he picks the least expensive housing for his first year which lands him a room in a boarding house. In his new home he meets his roommates which are Sally, Anne, Isabella, Rakesh, and his RA Dominic. They go through wacky events from concerts, study dates, parties, to everyone’s favorite drinking games. As all these events unfold, your goal is to set things up perfectly for the right events to take place to get that special someone.

Confused and unable to control her newly awakened powers, Tsubasa must chooses a partner to help her acclimate to her new reality.
So this game was sitting in my backlog for ages before I picked it up and I am ashamed to admit that it took me this long to play through it and to finally start on these reviews! A Foretold Affair is an upcoming steampunk fantasy romance visual novel from indie English developers GB Patch. After getting a glimpsing their own future, Abnormal, Buffalo Seer, will leave home on a journey to locate their intended spouse! But, the road to the future they foresaw won’t be smooth sailing, with enemies all around, Buffalo Seer will have to keep their wits about them. Upon it’s release the game will be available for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and Steam for ONLY $12.99.
There’s less than a week until the game’s official release on Janurary 30th, so I figured it was high time I wrote a review of the demo, just in case any of you guys are still on the fence about the game! The demo covers about thirty minutes to and hour of gameplay for each of the potential love interests and includes some interesting features and extra content.
