Edit (6/4): The Kickstarter for this game failed to achieve the necessary funds by the deadline. Production of the game is on hold until the developers feel that there is a viable market for it.
Hey, hey guys I’m back with yet another Kickstarter campaign! This time around, I’m spotlighting Team geNe6’s upcoming darkfantasy visual novel, False Elegy. I usually focus on otome games and GxB titles, but this game really stood out from the rest. False Elegy will appeal to a rather diverse audience drawing inspiration from both Western and Japanese media.
The game will be especially appealing to fans of the Fate/Stay series and Tokyo Ghoul which were influential to the developers during production.
Edit (6/6): The Indiegogo campaign for this game failed to achieve the necessary funds by the deadline. Despite not reaching their goal, RoseVeRte will continue to work on the game and there tentative release date of September 2017!
Hey hey guys I’m back with yet another Crowdfunding campaign! This time around, I’m spotlighting RoseVeRte’s upcomingfantasy romance visual novel, How to Fool a Liar King, the sequel to their 2015 visual novel, How to Take Off Your Mask. The game takes place after the ending of the first game and features a new heroine, with a few familiar faces from the first game.
The first game was really cute and I’m curious to see what new secrets this sequel will reveal about Eroolia and it’s residents. Fans of the first game will be sure to love this new edition to the Eroolia saga and new fans will definitely find something fun to add to their games collection. How to Fool a Liar Kingis currently on Steam Greenlit, so cast your vote if you want to see a Steam release!
Edit (4/5): The Kickstarter for this game failed to achieve the necessary funds by the deadline. Despite not reaching their goal, Argent Games will continue to work on the game!
Hey hey guys I know it’s been awhile since my last Kickstarter post, life has been throwing me curve balls left and right. But, I’m back again with another Kickstarter campaign, this time for the upcoming Boys Love romance visual novel, Chess of Bladesfrom indie game developers, Argent Games!!
This is Argent Games’s second title in the span of a year and I for one am just happy to see developers willing to create more BL titles! There is definitely a market for BL games and Chess of Blades promises to be a welcome edition to the community! So, I’m definitely going to keep a close eye on this game’s progress.
Edit (12/6): The Kickstarter for this game failed to achieve the necessary funds by the deadline. Despite not reaching their goal, Naive Sprites will continue to work on the game and there are plans to launch a second Kickstarter campaign later on this year!
For once I’m not late with this Kickstarter campaign, in fact, I’ve been following this game for a little while now! So, this time around I am excited to bring you guys the campaign for Naive Sprite’s upcoming Alice in Wonderland inspired otome, A Very Important Date!!
I absolutely love anything to do with Alice in Wonderland, so when I heard that this game was in the works I immediately kept tabs on the development!! So with out further ado, let’s get this post crackin’!!
Edit (10/31): The Kickstarter for this game failed to achieve the necessary funds by the deadline. As of right now there has been no additional news about future plans for this title!
It’s October and folks are already getting into the Halloween spirit, there are tons of supernatural and horror themed content on the way and I am here to bring you one more!! I know I’m late with this (again), but better late than never… So this time around I am covering a Kickstarter campaign for an upcoming Halloween themed otome game from Maimie’s Toybox, Mindless Box!!
The concept forMindless Box was developed by Gabicho, the sole member of Maimie’s Box and has been in development for a few years now. There was a demo released back in 2014, but final release will a complete overhaul of the previous project.
*Disclaimer: The images in this post belong to Maimie’s Toybox.
Edit: The Kickstarter for this game failed to achieve the necessary funds by the deadline. As of right now there has been no additional news about future plans for localization of this title!
So I know this has been said several times before, but I feel that this type of repitition is good, it shows solidarity within the Otome/Otoge community (and I love it!)
Gloczus, the same folks who helped localize Hakuoki and Amnesia, are back again this time with the title Beastmaster and Prince ~Flower and Snow~! Originally released back in 2010, the game has proved immensely popular spawning two sequels…
The story looks good, and since my Japanese language skills are laughable at best, it warms my heart that companies are listening to our otome fangirl pleas, and seriously considering localizing Japanese games for a global market.
More games = more new fans, which in turn increases the demand for these types of games, which then means more games will be localized!
So PLEASE check out the Kickstarter, HERE, and lend your support. There are only 18 more days left for them to reach their goal of $150,000 (currently $49,713), every little bit helps! I’m planning on donating at the $25 level…I know it’s not much (I kinda quit my job right before Christmas) but I really do want to help out!
If you can’t help out monetarily, SHARE this post or the Kickstarter on social media and spread the word!
