Last Week Today: Week End Recap- Mar. 5th to Mar. 11th

Hello Heroes and Travelers, here we are at the end of another week here on Nice Job Breaking It, Hero! Sorry this post is late, I was out yesterday and didn’t get the chance to set everything up before hand… This week was light years better than last week, but when you’re recovering from a broken heart every day is a toss up… luckily I’ve been able to find ways to occupy my time, and before you say otome games, that wasn’t the case this time….

On a positive note, it’s Spring Break this week, so my office is closed! Yay! I get a whole week off, but I don’t have enough money to go anywhere fancy, so it looks like I’ll be exploring DC or just catching up on my backlog…

housekeeping

under-construction

I’m giving the ol’ blog a bit of a facelift; updating tags, menus, etc… So, for the next couple of weeks expect some minor wonkiness. Nice Job Breaking It, Hero will be up and running during the fixes, but, don’t be alarmed if stuff moves around a bit!

Most Recent Updates

  • I fixed the pages under the Games tab on the top menu!
    • You guys can now use page jumps to navigate each of the pages under the Games tab instead of just scrolling through the entire pages.
    • Added images for each game.
    • BL Game Reviews are now a sub tab of the Visual Novel/Otome Games tab under Games!
    • I combined Nintendo DS/3DS game reviews and PSP/Vita game reviews into one combined menu option, Handheld Games.
  • Created a new menu tab, Weekly Series.
  • You guys can now access all of my weekly series (Last Week Today, Melanin Monday, Thrifty Gaming, and Fangirl Moment) as drop down options from there.

Since I reached 300 Followers a little while ago, I figured it was about time I fixed things up a bit. There will also be a special announcement once everything is finished up, so be on the look out for that in the near future!

March Megane Madness

I probably should have announced this sooner, but what can I say, I’ve been busy… *ahem* It’s no secret that I’m weak to megane men, there’s just something hot about a man in glasses that really gets my blood pumping! Ray Bans, dark frames, wire frames, bifocals, trifocals, fashion lenses, *fans self* I love them all! So I wanted to share that love with you guys in a month long megane celebration.

Throughout the month of March I will be paying tribute to all the megane hotties out there with semi-daily megane themed posts and reviews!! Ya’ll have heard of March Madness, well here on Nice Job Breaking It, Hero it will be Megane Madness Month!!

Affiliate Links

Well, I finally broke down and signed up for some Affiliate Program so that I could possibly make a bit of cash doing this blogging thing. The way affiliate programs work is that I earn a small commission on any products you all buy using my affiliate links.  Right now I’m enrolled in Affiliate Programs for Amazon.com and MangaGamer, so expect affiliate links to show up every so often in my posts in the near future. I will let you all know in advance if a post contains any affiliate links and I will update my sidebar with links to specific games and products.

The second OWLS Blog Tour is underway, March’s topic focuses on Sanctuary!

A sanctuary is a place of safety and stability. In anime, there are several different places and environments that characters call “home.” For this topic, we will be discussing various locations and settings within certain anime series.

Each OWLS member will be uploading their individual posts throughout the month of March! This week’s Blog Tour guides were Matthew Castillo (Matt-in-the-Hat), who wrote about the meaning of sanctuary in Sword Art OnlineTakuto (Takuto’s Anime Cafe) who wrote about sanctuary in Evangelionand Myself with my post about sanctuary in Haikyuu!

There is just plenty of Blog Tour Stops coming your way this month so be on the look out for announcements on the Official OWLS Twitter @OWLSbloggers, where we will keep you guys updated on each of the upcoming posts and other OWLS news!

I really want to hear from you guys, let me know what you think of Nice Job Breaking It, Hero. What do you think about this change? Do you guys like my posts? 1. Oh my lord, lady. You not only post awesome and extensive posts during the week, but a recap, which is amazing for those of us who might miss things (I get an email update whenever you post, but you get my meaning lol). This is such a good idea and again goes back to how organized your blog is ♥

    1. Awww thank you!! Yeah, it’s really easy for things to slip through the cracks, especially when you have a lot of things happening throughout the week, so I started doing these posts for folks that can’t always check WP everyday. LOL I started doing them a year ago and they just keep growing 😛

You have no idea how happy your comments make me! They always give me the motivation to do more with my blog LOL *hugs*

      1. I’m to the point where I get emails for the blogs I really want to keep an eye on. I haven’t checked my feed in months and I feel so bad about that. I generally receive emails for the people I most interact with so I don’t miss any of their stuff!

        Aw I’m glad I’m encouraging! ♥♥♥

      2. LOL I have emails set up too, but I always seem to lose stuff in there… maybe I need to clean out the old email box 😛

Don’t feel so bad about checking the feed, there are a ton of posts that come out every day.

LOL of course! Even though I suck at responding, I look forward to your comments every week!!

    1. Seems like a good reason to finally save up and get a PS4 since I’ve been holding back on getting a console for a few years now. But, I already pre-ordered Kyoto Winds and regardless, I’m still looking forward to it later on this year.
