TGIF! Here we are again with another Fangirl Friday! This week I’m going to talk about a movie I saw with a friend a few weeks ago! I meant to write this post earlier, but one thing lead to another…I’m making excuses, today’s post is all about the third and final film in the Bridget Jones trilogy, Bridget Jones’s Baby!
Was this the best movie I’ve ever seen? Nope. Was this the best film of the year? Absolutely not! Was this even the best film in the trilogy? Not really. But, did I giggle like a schoolgirl when Colin Firth appeared on screen for the first time? You bet I did!
So why am I writing about this? Well, Bridget and her shenanigans (along with a healthy amount of Ben and Jerry’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream) have gotten me through some tough times in the past. I have fond memories of the first film (the second not so much) and to this day, I still watch the first film whenever I’m feeling especially down about something. So, when I heard that there was going to be a third and final film in the series, I couldn’t wait to buy my ticket!
*This post will contain some spoilers for the film, so proceed with caution!*
Chronotopia is an upcoming commercial visual novel from French developers Träumendes Mädchen. The game features aspects of both visual novels and point-and-click games and borrows elements from the French fairytale, Donkeyskin by Charles Perrault. Upon it’s release the game will be available for Windows, Mac, and Linux in both English and French. The developers are also working on getting the game greenlit for Steam.
“The young Donkeyskin lives a peaceful existence in her castle, enjoying her days with her best friend and confidant, Nahima. That is until her father, gone mad since the death of his beloved, decides he should wed the princess instead. Donkeyskin has to find a way to escape from this fate, but how? She doesn’t know it yet, but it’s the beginning of a long nightmare that will take her to the edge of madness…”
Edit (10/29): The Kickstarter for this game was successful at meeting its funding goal. The final funding amount was €13,823 from 224 backers! The game now has a tentative release date of 2017!
For once I was ahead of the game with one of these Kickstarter campaign posts! I actually found out about this campaign before the release, but don’t get too used to this, I don’t know if I can make a habit of being on time with these things. 😛 This time I’m covering the upcoming commercial visual novel from Träumendes Mädchen, called Chronotopia!!

Edit (9/28): Cheritz has made an official announcement about the bans on their Tumblr page, HERE!
First, I want to say thank you to Aurora6290 for sending me this tip! As many of you knowMystic Messenger players have been receiving Permanent Bans for reasons not associated with the Time Modification Cheat. Current ban triggers are as follows:
Using Hourglasses to replay multiple missed chats, as far as I’ve heard using Hourglasses to replay one missed chat at a time has not resulted in a banned account.
Pausing or remaining idle for too long during chat rooms, though the exact amount of time idle that triggers the ban has yet to be disclosed.
Quitting or closing the app in the middle of a chat room also results in a ban notice.
The recent influx of non-time manipulation related bans has caused a bit of a stir in the community and applaud all of you that took the time to reach out to Cheritz about the issue. Well, Cheritz was listening and they have reached out to all affected players.
Cheritz will be reviewing all of the improperly banned account reports and will be taking action to lift the bans for those accounts. In addition to lifting the ban on all the wrongfully banned accounts, Cheritz will also be compensating afflicted players. Compensation will be calculated based on the number of days the specific account was inactive.
Cheritz has already released the update to lift the ban on affected accounts! Here’s a link to the account that first posted the news…. HERE!
So what do you think about the recent backlash? If you have any more information to share on the recent Mystic Messenger bans please feel free to drop a line on this post! As always THANK YOU FOR READING!! If you like what you see, like this post or follow Nice Job Breaking It, Hero!
Edit (10/12): The Kickstarter for this game was successful at meeting its funding goal for the MDSOA: Deluxe Edition, but the campaign did not raise enough for the MD: Echoes stretch goal. The final funding amount was $13,062 with 251 backers! The Deluxe Edition has a tentative release date of early 2017!
I know it’s been awhile since my last Kickstarter campaign post, but I was super busy with real life issues when this Kickstarter campaign started up. On top of that, I was a little on the fence about how exactly I was going to write this up, as it is a dual project Kickstarter. From what I gathered, Aeon Dream Studios is attempting to raise funding for a deluxe edition of their current project Mystic Destinies: Serendipity of Aeons. The deluxe edition will feature added bonuses such as additional stories, improvements to Shou’s route, improved backgrounds, POV stories and much more!
Early on in the campaign the funding goal for the deluxe edition was reached! So, right about now you guys are wondering why you should fund this campaign if the devs already reached the goal for Mystic Destinies: Serendipity of Aeon- Deluxe Edition? Well that brings me to part two of the campaign… the sequel to MDSOA, Mystic Destinies: Echoes!
Hello Heroes and Travelers, here we are at the end of another week here on Nice Job Breaking It, Hero! This has been a really chill week all things considered, I received some really great news, but I want to wait until next week before I say anything specific. I don’t want to leave anything to chance, by announcing it prematurely…
In other news, my BF took me to this really cool Jazz concert on Friday featuring the Preservation Hall Jazz Band! The concert was a blast and the music was great!! After the concert the band struck up an impromptu parade made up of everyone from the theater. It was so cool laughing and dancing through the streets of DC as the band played on!
Edit (9/25): I have been receiving a large number of comments from players that are receiving bans for reasons other than turning back the time on their devices. If you feel that you have been wrongfully banned, contact Cheritz directly and submit an official report on the issue through: firstname.lastname@example.org!
Edit 9/24: The petition was removed from Change.org due to negative backlash on twitter. The creator posted an explanation on Instagram, but it has since been removed.
*Cheritz has lifted bans on all wrongfully banned accounts, read the full post,HERE!*
I really thought that I was done writing about Mystic Messenger, but the recent update has many in the fandom up in arms and I think it’s time I gave opinion on the matter.
I do not stand behind that silly Petition, in fact, I think the whole thing is utterly ridiculous! For those who don’t know, Cheritz just released an update that changed some things about the Mystic Messenger experience:
Players that were/are resetting their device times to replay missed chats will now have their accounts PERMANENTLY BANNED!
Max Speed in chats will now be reserved for VIP members only. VIP membership can be purchased from Cheritz, HERE.
Cheritz will also be restricting the number of save files players can use for free.
Finally, 5 HOURGLASSES will be used every time players load a save file!
First, I see absolutely nothing wrong with these updates. Cheritz is still a relatively small developer and they spent a lot of time and money to make this game a reality. So, it only makes sense that they would try to recoup some of their investments. Developing a game, especially a voiced game requires a considerable amount of money and time. And the fact that Cheritz decided to make the game a free to play app is very generous on their part! So when I saw that some angry fan went out and created petitions against Cheritz on Change.org, I was a little pissed off and here’s why…
*This post is my opinion and it’s cool if you don’t agree with it, I am open to hearing what everyone has to say, but I WILL NOT TOLERATE any personal attacks. Do not use my comments section to attack anyone, be sure to keep all discussions tame.
If you guys remember, Isami Kondo was one of the routes I was most looking forward to in this game! My usual go to are tsunderes and megane intellectuals, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve found myself drawn to the mature types more and more. Well, in Era of Samurai: Code of Love the good humored Shinsengumi leader, Isami Kondo definitely fits the bill!
Isami Kondo wasn’t a playable character in Hakuouki, so I didn’t quite know what to expect this time around. So, I was basing everything on his portrayal in the prologue and in each of the other routes in the game… and you know what, Kondo is pretty consistent across the board.

TGIF! Here we are again with another Fangirl Friday! This week I’m covering another webcomic! Rejoice! I have been following this comic for awhile now and it has only gotten better over time!! The comic I’m covering this week is Hazy London (formerly Technicolor London), a BL slice-of-life, drama, comedy webcomic series by Scotty.
“Toby Landon’s love life is a bloody mess. His on and off girlfriend has once again tossed him aside. His mate Mark gives him some advice: Try something different. With a kiss, the lives of these two friends go from being black and white to being full of vivid color. But, all colors can get a little hazy…”
It’s September and I’m back again with yet another Top 10 Pokemon list! This time around, I’ll be covering my Top Ten Gen 4 Pokemon. So let’s get this party started…
I don’t really have the fondest memories of the Fourth Generation, by the time Diamond and Pearl rolled around I was becoming more and more disillusioned with Pokemon in general…*sigh* there, I said it…I almost gave up on Pokemon. I guess I was getting older, and the games just weren’t as fun as they used to be, in fact, the fourth generation is my least favorite Pokemon generation. The only truly redeeming part of the generation was the reboot of Gen 2 with the releases of Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver! I can’t even tell you much about the Sinnoh other than the fact that the Underground was a gold mine for fossil hunters! Oh and those really weird and random evolutions for Tangela, Electabuzz, and Magmar… But, yeah…Sinnoh introduced us to 107 brand new Pokemon, and I’ll be picking just 10 of them. So without further ado, my Top Ten Gen 4 Pokemon!!
